03 - Arrange the chilled lemonade base, fruit bowls, fresh herbs, syrups, and ice on a prominent table or counter surface. Provide clean glasses, straws, and stirring sticks for guest use.
04 - Invite guests to fill glasses with ice and lemonade, then personalize their beverages with preferred fresh fruits, herbs, and syrups. Stir thoroughly and serve immediately.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Your guests become the chefs, which somehow makes everyone happier and takes the pressure off you.
  • It works for literally any dietary preference because people skip what they don't want.
  • You can prep everything in twenty minutes and then just let the bar run itself while you actually enjoy your party.
02 -
  • Don't skip the refrigeration step—warm lemonade tastes thin and forgettable, but cold lemonade tastes like summer itself.
  • Prep your fruit just before guests arrive, especially berries; they start weeping if they sit too long.
  • Always have more ice than you think you'll need; it disappears faster than any ingredient.
03 -
  • Make your lemonade base the night before; it actually tastes better as it sits, and you'll have one less thing to do during party prep.
  • Set up the fruit bars about thirty minutes before guests arrive so everything is chilled and inviting but the fruit hasn't had time to wilt or oxidize.
